Business Development Associate

Weezie is seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Associate to manage and expand our wholesale business across specialty retailers, dropship accounts and corporate gifting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in selling to specialty retailers, with a proven track record of success. This role requires a collaborative team player with a can-do attitude, capable of serving as a key liaison between Weezie and our wholesale partners. You will report to the Vice President of Merchandising & Business Development. 

What you’ll do: 

• Account Management: Oversee and nurture existing accounts in specialty channels and dropship operations, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
• Prospecting: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase our wholesale footprint. Develop strategies to expand our presence in the specialty retail sector.
• Partner Education: Serve as the primary point of contact for wholesale partners, providing them with comprehensive knowledge about the Weezie brand and our products. Conduct training sessions to enhance their understanding and ability to effectively sell our offerings.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Product team to align strategies and ensure a cohesive approach to account management and business development. 
• Travel: Approximately 20-30% travel required to visit current and potential new stockists.

Who you are: 

• 2+ years of B2B sales experience; specialty retail experience is a must. Dropship or Corporate Gifting experience is a plus.
• A Weezie brand fan
• Experience representing luxury brands is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale partners. 
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude. 
• Demonstrated ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
